Social and therapeutic horticulture (STH) and horticulture therapy use gardening and horticulture to improve the lives of people with a wide range of support needs.
The Association has a long term aim of developing a voluntary professional register of practitioners and in the short term we seek to support practitioners through a network of support groups and to promote as widely as possible the benefits of STH and horticultural therapy – please click here for more information on networks.
Membership is open to practitioners and anyone else interested in the field of Social and Therapeutic Horticulture. The initial membership fee is £10 (or £50 for Founder Membership) – please click here for more information on membership.
We are focusing on England, Wales and Northern Ireland but welcome enquiries and members from anywhere. If you are based in Scotland you may also like to contact Trellis, the national organisation for therapeutic horticulture in Scotland.
We are keen to work with other groups and associations active in this field both in the UK and abroad – please click here for a list of linked organisations.
